Orphyx is the home for lucid dreaming that should have existed years ago.
An archive. A library. A community. A practice space. Built in that order, for a reason.
The lucid dreaming community has produced decades of genuine insight — hard-won techniques, honest debate, careful self-experimentation, real disagreement between smart people who cared. Almost all of it has been lost to platform decay, forum shutdowns, and the shift to social media that can't sustain a conversation longer than a day. Orphyx is an attempt to stop the bleeding.
Orphyx is self-funded and will remain free for as long as the work is archival and communal. We think the people who built this community's knowledge deserve to have it preserved without a paywall or a sales funnel attached.
The lucid dreaming community's knowledge deserves a home. The library is our first attempt at building that. Currently the library is split between two parts:
We started with the archive because it felt urgent. Forums like Mortal Mist and World of Lucid Dreaming are gone entirely. Decades of Usenet discussion are buried under spam and inaccessible to anyone who doesn't know where to look. We're trying to build the foundation the community forgot it had.
The resources are the first step towards creating a collective knowledge, to serve as a foundation for the community. At the moment, it's lists of the best research, books, websites, and people surrounding lucid dreaming. It's currently growing, and we're always looking for more recommendations to add.
Start at the Library . The home for all the preserved knowledge and resources of the lucid dreaming community.
Within the library, you can find the Archives , where we've preserved tens of thousands of posts from the most important lucid dreaming forums in history.
